After waiting for almost ten years for her green card, Adriana was finally able to come to the United States from El Salvador. With business education and accounting experience, Adriana qualified for many related positions but needed to improve her English. She found work at Costco to pay her bills and enrolled in English courses at the New Root Program at the Asian American Civic Association. Adriana will begin her second year at Bunker Hill Community College working toward a degree in accounting and getting closer to her goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
