TEACH

At First Literacy, we know that teachers are the backbone of the adult education system. One of our main goals is to provide teachers with the support they need to bring best practices and evidence-based techniques into the classroom.

Our free professional development workshops are offered year-round and are designed based on interests and needs. Our grants allow Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English language (ESOL) teachers to put their creative ideas into action with both financial and technical support from First Literacy. Our free resource library provides educators with tools and strategies that can easily be integrated and adapted for their own classes.

We are proud to support the front line in Adult Basic Education, whether it’s helping to bring a project proposal to life or being a reliable source on adult literacy.
