Bushrah was born in Uganda. She is the oldest of five siblings and the first in her family to attend college. Her time in the U.S. has not been easy. She’s faced several challenges, from domestic violence to homelessness. She is now a single mother of two young children and is determined to achieve her goals no matter what hurdles she must overcome. Her dream is to become a nurse practitioner and provide attainable medical services to underserved communities. In June 2024, Bushrah graduated from the Practical Nursing Program at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School.
