Julio faced serious challenges in high school including the loss of his grandmother, forcing him to live alone. Julio needed to work full time in high school to support himself and had to give up on his goal of graduation. Now Julio is motivated by his own children’s success in high school to improve his own life. While working full time and supporting his daughter financially and academically Julio graduated from the Bridges program at Jewish Vocational Services and has been accepted to Bunker Hill Community College where he starts in the fall. Julio hopes to use his life experiences and education to help others.
