Bushrah was born in Uganda. A former investigative journalist, Bushrah worked for a prominent television station and faced persecution many times by the Ugandan government. In 2018, she made the difficult decision to leave her family and flee her country to save her life.
Graduation is a pivotal moment for many adult learners who have overcome great obstacles to pursue their education. As caps are tossed into the air, dreams take flight, and a new chapter begins, filled with possibility and opportunity.
